Sea Sunday 29th June 2003
The Annual St John’s Group of Churches Sea Sunday Service took place at Bonne Nuit Bay at 5.30pm on Sunday 29th June 2003, with the St Catherine’s Lifeboat in attendance and a modest but enthusiastic congregation, including several families participating from boats moored in the harbour.

Captain Howard Le Cornu, the Jersey Harbourmaster was our guest speaker and spoke of need to combine faith and trusting prayer with practical action.

“In the eye of the storm,

pray as if there is no tomorrow,

and row with all you are worth.”.

An offertory was taken and will be distributed between the Mission to Seafarers, the RNLI and Channel Island Air Search.

The service concluded with the blessing of boats in the harbour, and a special prayer of blessing and dedication upon the St Catherine’s Lifeboat and its crew.
