Kids Praise Sunday 16th March 2003

Our latest Kids Praise session which was held on Sunday 16th March was led once again by Andy and the worship group supported by the Sunday Club and X-club leaders. The children and young people met in the school and the session was called “Looking to Easter”.

A few games , then an introduction to the session held under a mushroom made by the parachute got the session underway.

Andy told the Easter story using items that the children found in a treasure hunt and a giant origami session ( how did he make that cross, its base and the others crucified with Jesus ?)

A wobble walk and the wobble song encouraged everyone to learn to hold on to God’s promises even when we have a wobble in our lives.

Other songs reinforced the message that Jesus is as relevant today in our lives as He was 2000 years ago.

Magic tricks reinforced the value of reading the Bible and the amazing truth that our sins completely disappear when we are truly sorry and ask God’s forgiveness.

The children had the opportunity to meet Biggish the puppet – it was his first time at Kids Praise so he was understandably a little shy, but he has promised to visit again and help out with sharing the good news with people of all ages.
