simple actions (6 each week of lent), is to be the change we want to see in the
world.

Week 1 10th

- Look out
of a window and take in the wealth that surrounds you

Only fill the kettle with as
only as much water as you need

Write a letter

Learn something about the four
missionary groups the church supports
- Show your
parent/child/friend how to do something they can’t do

Clear out a cupboard
Week 2 17th
– 23rd February

Look intently into the face of
a baby and marvel

Play a board game with family or friends
- Drink two
glasses of water a day; as you drink the first give thanks that you are
amongst the 15% of the world population with access to clean water; as you
drink the second pray for the other 85%.

Make someone smile by doing
something nice for them

Have a plastic bag free

Week 3 24th
February – 1st March

Visit the elderly and learn from
their experience

Switch off the lights
every time you leave the room – unless someone else is in there!

Write a song/poem

product and learn about the country of origin

Week 4 2nd

everything that’s recyclable

born in that country this week and the babies you know
- Read Luke
15; 11-32 and pray for a prodigal you know.

Go for a walk with someone you
haven’t seen for a while
- More than
1 billion children will not go to school this year. Give £1 to charity for
every year you spent in full-time education
- Light a
candle and pray for three people at church
